About David

I am David, 40, and I have lived and worked in Saffron Walden my whole life. I presently work full-time for a business on Shire Hill. I served on the Town Council (2007-19) and District Council (2007-15). As well as previously being a local Councillor, I have worked in several human and civil rights organisations locally and nationally. I believe Saffron Walden needs a straightforward, sensible, and common-sense approach while we enter a period of Local Government restructuring. I am only focussed on important local issues; I want Saffron Walden and the villages to be strongly represented. As you may be aware, Essex County Council (alongside Uttlesford) will soon cease to exist as authorities. The reality is, this will be a challenging time. We need a local politicians who will fight to keep our rural bus services, who will work to get our potholes fixed, roads maintained, and someone to ensure that Essex public service have the highest possible standards.

Although I am not presently a Councillor, I am still happy to support Saffron Walden and area residents with issues relating to their local Councils, MP, Policing, NHS, and so on. Please contact me here.
